I got an email today from Half Price Computer Books. They will be running three auctions and the email had an Excel spreadsheet attached that listed the books in the first auction. They will be accepting bids for this auction through 09/12/06.
Warning: The number of books in the first lot is over 18,000 and the market list price they have given is in excess of $500,000.00. For anyone that is seriously interested, you can read the email below and request the Excel spreadsheet directly from Shawn. I suspect that you will be looking at spending in excess of $100,000 to win the bid, plus you will need to pay for the shipping from Canada. The bright side is that the books I checked out in the spreadsheet do have high resale values and you could have an instant inventory of over 18,000 books.

Hello Booksellers,
Welcome to the first of 3 book offerings that we will be accepting bids on. These are new books, publisher hurts and remainders.
Bids for the attached offering will be accepted from Tuesday September 5th, through Tuesday September 12th. Please submit your bids in writing via e-mail (shawn@halfpricecomputerbooks.com) before the end of the business day on September 12th, 2006.
Shipping is on this bid is from Vancouver BC, Canada and winner of bid will be responsible for freight. We will look after the customs paperwork and clearance to make this as seamless a transaction as possible. Books will be shipped in gaylords/bins so please ensure you have an appropriate receiving dock or forklift.
50% payment is required prior to shipment with 50% due on delivery.
