The online bookselling bookseller forum is now up and activated.  There are only a few rules that need to be mentioned. 

1)     This forum is only available to customers of my book or software.  I feel this is necessary to control because the moderation of the forum will occupy a good part of my time as will my participation and I would like to share the information I am providing only with my customers as a means of expanding on the book and to share marketplace changes.

2)     I will not tolerate profanity or harassment of other members on this forum.  I have participated on Amazon's seller forums in the past and I did not like the experience or having members intimidating other members. 

3)     All member registrations must be approved and activated by me, and this should assure that items 1 & 2 above are enforced. 

When you go to the forum page, you will be asked to choose a username and password, and to provide an email address.  Once you have done this, you will receive an activation code (email sent to your registered email account) to verify your desire to be a part of the forum.  Once you follow the instructions in the activation email, you will only need for me to authorize your account before you can access the forum and participate.

The intent of the forum is to enable you to share ideas and chat with other booksellers, but I do not intend to restrict the topics as long as they are civil and tasteful.  This is really a great opportunity to learn from each other, share tips, make suggestions, and in general help each other - I hope you choose to take advantage of it.  I will try to stay on top of the threads and help and/or make suggestions where I can.

Important Additional Information

If you follow all the instructions and have to wait more than 24 hours to access the forum, please send me an email and include your name.  The primary reason for you not getting access within 24 hours would be because I was unable to pair your registration email address up with the email address of anyone in my database that has purchased my book.  If for any reason you wish to register for the forum with an email address that may/may not be associated with anyone that purchased my book, go ahead and register with the email address you want to use and send me an email with your name and the email address you used to register, if your name matches a customer in my database, I will approve your access.

Also, if your purchase of my book was made under a company name, email me to let me know so I can make sure you get approved.  Include the name of your company that purchased my book and the email address you are registering under in the forum.

I hope this works better for all of you.  It should certainly reduce the time it takes me to get information to all of you, and some of the  time sensitive information that I put in my blogs would not need to be made available to the casual website visitor, e.g., the book auction notices.

I don't want to use that kind of information to drive up my website traffic, I only want it to be available to my customers as my way of saying thank you and keeping you abreast of changes in the marketplaces.

I am only able to authorize forum membership for those individuals that have purchased their book:

1) Through veverkabooks on Amazon.com

2) Through diskhead on Amazon.com

3) Through my website (PayPal purchases on my website).

If you bought my book through any other marketplace third-party seller (this would be a used copy) you are not eligible to participate in the forum automatically, but you may be able to purchase forum access from me directly.  If this is of interest to you, please send me an email.
