Gouache for Illustration, Howard, Rob, Sold for 79.99, purchased for $1.80. (This one I probably let go of for about half of what I could have sold it for).
This is just a small sample of "gems" I have sold the past couple months. For the past three months I have been quite busy with my day job flight testing airplanes for that big commercial airplane company up here in the Pacific Northwest, and I have only been frequenting the clearance shelves of a local chain bookstore and my local Friends of the Library bookshelves. If I had more time to check out some of the other stores in the Seattle area I would have a lot more to post.
If you add all of this up, the cost for the books listed here was $21.42 and the profit was $1,977.23, or 9,231%, that is quite substantial for just 17 books. That will easily buy another 1,500+ books that will return $10 to $15 each in profit, and this is just a SMALL sample of the gems I have found, there were many more over the past several years!
